  • Key Accountabilities :

  • Identifies and develops sales opportunities with existing and potential new members to meet their needs and further relationships.
  • Provides a full range of investment and lending services which includes preparing documentation and processing member transactions.
  • Generates cross sales referrals by actively promoting products and services provided by internal and external partners.
  • Answers product and service inquiries or forwards to the appropriate internal personnel.
  • Applies risk management policies, procedures and audit control standards in daily activities to ensure compliance and best practice standards to mitigate risk.
  • Gathers and prepares required member documentation for file and completes member banking transactions.
  • Remains current on organizational practices, policies, procedures and legislative requirements; identifying areas requiring clarification or improvement and referring to management for further action.
  • Support initiatives identified in the branches annual business plan and make recommendations regarding activities / campaigns to achieve branch goal and objectives.
  • Seeks opportunities to promote the organization and to develop business opportunities and refer to appropriate sales staff.
  • Acts as a resource to other staff within the branch.
  • E xperience and / or Educational Requirements :

  • 4 - 6 years experience in retail lending / credit and investments.
  • Strong demonstrated ability to build member relationships.
  • Completed a relevant certificate, diploma, degree or designation program.
  • Hold a current Mutual Funds License.
  • Completion of required Member Management course : Good Connections, Service Experience, Sales Approach, Handling Complaints, Investment Services, and Sales Negotiations.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
  • Skills and Competencies :

  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn other programs.
  • Excellent communications skills; both written and verbal.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Excellent customer service orientation.
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
