Team Lead- Retail Services in Edmonton / Calgary area

We are looking for a Team lead who can execute construction, maintenance and merchandising, projects in retail environments across Canada, working independently or managing small teams of resources, including labour, sub-contractors etc.

ensuring all projects are executed on time in full in a safe manner.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Job requires the ability to perform tasks on all areas and aspects of a construction project.
  • Job requires the ability to work with tools, lumber, and materials.
  • Learn and demonstrate a working knowledge of retail and related merchandising experience;
  • Learn and demonstrate a working knowledge of store policies, operations, and safety procedures.
  • Planning, coordinating and executing initiatives in the allotted time.
  • Evaluation and discussion of your finished work with your project manager for constructive feedback
  • Ability to report completed work tasks accurately using online reporting tools
  • Responsible to check email daily to review company communication and confirm work schedules
  • Position requires physical work involving extended periods of moving, lifting and standing.
  • Work independently or in various size teams.
  • Experience Required :

  • Prior construction project management experience preferred;
  • Prior construction experience in a retail environment preferred. Knowledge of retail racking and fixtures, seismic and provincial installation requirements an advantage;
  • Confident using computers and other mobile devices for reporting, surveying, and time tracking;
  • Licensed and experience driving forklifts and using elevated platforms preferred
  • Drivers Licence and access to a vehicle are mandatory.
  • Variable work / shift patterns based on project / store requirements, days or nights as required.
  • Travel through western is required, based on project location. (Staff scheduled are based on skills / proximity to minimise travel wherever possible.
  • Typically, no more than two weeks without return to home.)

    Total Compensation :

  • Competitive base salary;
  • All travel paid (when away from home location), including hotel, flight, per diem allowance, etc.;
