About the Role :

We are looking for a music content focused YouTube Content Partnerships Representative to join our team and be a significant catalyst in our Opposition brand’s growth! The YouTube Content Partnerships Representative (Music) is a Sales position responsible for identifying popular music geared content on YouTube, building relationships with content creators, artists, labels and selling them on the value of working with BBTV & Opposition.

This Sales position involves a high volume of reach-outs to prospective partners, the ability to connect with a wide variety of content creators & music industry personnel on YouTube and the successful negotiation and closing of these channels as partners in BBTV’s network.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a growing team of digital media & music professionals.

Key responsibilities :

  • Using various methods of prospecting to discover emerging music content creators and engaging with them to partner with Opposition (BBTV)
  • Developing a clear understanding of BBTV’s content requirements, value adds, and technology platform
  • Consistent attainment of sales targets while also signing notable flagship music partners
  • Effectively educating prospective partners on BBTV & Opposition value adds and VISO suite of tools
  • Weekly individual and team review meetings to measure accomplishments
  • Optimizing workflow through the use of tools to improve efficiency
  • Providing the company with feedback on individual and team performances
  • Collaborating with management, and the greater team, to identify and analyze new opportunities within the media & music industry for revenue generation
  • Assisting BBTV & Opposition strategically to grow our verticals within YouTube
  • Regular audit & upkeep of Opposition sales tools
  • Assist team members on music creator sales calls to provide expertise on Opposition value ads
  • Take in feedback from other sales team members to refine the Employee Music Sales Training process
  • Train & educate other sales team members on general Opposition sales knowledge & value ads
  • Key requirements :

  • 1-3 years of previous experience in a sales, customer service and / or business development role with a proven track record of meeting / exceeding quotas (music industry experience preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, marketing or communications
  • Strong understanding of technology, new media, and social media
  • Strong & diverse understanding of multiple music genres, current & relevant music talent, and current music industry trends
  • Display an advanced understanding of and comfortability in deal negotiations
  • Expertise in online video and the YouTube platform is preferred
  • Self-motivated results driven prefers to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Proven prioritization and time management skills
  • Proficient G Suite Docs, Sheets, Slides and Forms
  • Effective written and interpersonal communication skills - most communication is done via email
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build lasting relationships across cultures
