This position is based in London, Ontario and will require to work onsite on a full time basis with Global Travel as needed*
Position summary :
The Strategic Sourcing Lead will craft, implement and monitor initiatives to advance the successful sourcing of components and commodities.
As part of the Operations Team, this position will collaborate with internal and external customers to achieve cross functional team goals.
Implement thoughtful sourcing strategies through developing supplier value-adding relationships with internal customers, and cross-functional departments, requiring international travel as needed
Ensure logistics model for Total landed cost of supply is maximized
Identify and implement business improvement initiatives and inspire change through Danaher Business System (DBS)
Engage & Support R&D & Engineering on all New Product Development (NPI), and introduction programs
Dynamic understanding of market place technologies, for adoption, and incorporation into Trojan’s value proposition
Apply Advanced Negotiation skills and purchase of various components and commodities including complex commodities such as fabricated parts, fabricated Tanks, Valves, compressors, rotating equipment, buyout equipment and instrumentation
Build, evaluate and maintain a best in class’ supplier base.
Collaborate with global procurement teams to establish site manufacturing inputs / requirements are aligned with center led strategy, requiring international travel as needed
Develop RFP's and RFQ's to support engineering specifications and project requirements
Design, and lead supplier contract negotiations
Create, implement and maintain a supplier rationalization program, with execution timeline
Prioritize the highest level of quality, and continuity of supply for site / category
Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, or applicable.
Minimum of 7 to 10 years of procurement / category management experience
5 years global sourcing experience for a global manufacturing company.
5 years of experience in leading Global Value Sourcing projects start to finish
Strong leadership and management skills
Microsoft Office / Excel proficiency (V-look ups, Pivot Tables, If statements).
Have the ability to travel for business internationally
Highly effective communication and facilitation skills.
Proven negotiation skills, with demonstrated performance results
