As a UI Designer (System designer) , you play a critical role in the mission of iceberg, Intact's design system. You will report to the Design System Studio Manager and collaborate with our UI designers, UX developers, and writers.
You'll help spruce up our multi-brand libraries, grow the design system culture, improve our style guides and documentation.

What you’ll do here :
Interpret brand books and build elements that can be applied for 5+ brands in a white labelling methodology.
Document in-depth the designs and rules of use for the components and elements in the design system.
Ensure the maintenance, continuous improvement and the justification of the decisions taken vis-à-vis the design system.
Promote the updates and enhancements of the design system during weekly presentations, creative meetings, and more.
Conduct user tests and interviews to validate new elements.
Be an advocate for the design system and participate in design communities within the Lab.
What you bring to the table :
At least seven years of experience linked to UI design.
Expertise in building and maintaining design systems.
Mastery of design tools, Figma (primary tool), but may need to use others (Axure, Adobe products, etc.).
Experience with UX research tools an asset (usertesting.com).
You love working in a collaborative environment that has a strong focus on teamwork, innovation, open minds and having fun.
You have a strong ability to think technically, with knowledge of patterns for responsive
design and native mobile.
Creative, analytical and love when elements are well aligned in a file.
A team player that can share and receive constructive feedback.
You understand why it’s important to name each layer of your files
Excel at explaining your ideas to different stakeholders.
Deeply passionate about design and quality.
Organized and proactive.
You're the ideal candidate if :
You've helped create a design system and contributed to improving DesignOps.
You excel at creating / evolving enterprise UI design but understand that you’re not an Art Director.
You have a solid working knowledge of accessibility guidelines (WCAG).
You understand front-end code and the limitations of front-end technology. You can demonstrate this by understanding the needs of the developers you've worked with previously.
You've worked for a company that builds and maintains digital products.
You're humble and able to freely discuss your strengths and weaknesses (and those of others), but always in a kind, professional, and appropriate way.
