    Reporting to the Distribution Manager, Southern Alberta, this position supports the Alberta Distribution Team by ensuring compliance to established accountability practices and processes, while being an active participant in the Distribution Team and providing support / assistance where required.

    Mat Leave Coverage - Up to 18 Months


  • Sign trailers in and out, assigning doors and relaying pertinent load information
  • Assign loads to pick to warehouse employees
  • Create and fill ready-made BOLs for milk division
  • Call out trailers (inbound and outbound) with carriers
  • Notate pick tickets with dating information when applicable
  • Create load sheets and truck assignments as needed
  • Direct Workflow in Office (Forklift and Reach Truck Operators, Truck Drivers)
  • Additional duties as required
  • Administrative Duties

  • Prepare load tenders and coordinate outbound loads with carriers
  • Create truck assignments
  • Follow up with Customer Service on misdated / missing orders
  • Coordinate inventory management with planners
  • Code invoices for processing
  • Additional duties as required

  • Post secondary education in General Business / Administration / Transportation an asset; prior accounting experience an asset.
  • Experience within Distribution and / or Sales environments.
  • Working knowledge of Computer Systems (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • High level of self-motivation and initiative / ability to contribute to the development of a sound regional team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently.
