SUMMARY OF JOB
Responsible for gathering and analyzing autoTRADER data for its online products, features, and overall marketplace and synthesizing with industry data to uncovering actionable insights.
Completes statistical reports, analyses, and presentations to internal stakeholders, measuring value to customers, explaining performance drivers and trends, identifying areas for improvement, and making recommendations for change.
Plays a pivotal role in the organization.
Key Areas of Responsibility Business Analysis & Reporting :
Produce weekly and monthly reports aimed to provide a holistic view of autoTRADER website performance : proactively identify context to trends, drivers of changes, issues, potential actions in key subject areas, and communicate findings to business stakeholders
Leverage analysis on autoTRADER marketplace performance to support Dealer Marketing team in their communication to customers
Play a key role in analyses and establishing product and customer-centric KPIs; analyze their interdependencies and underlying drivers.
Creates adhoc executive reports as necessary
Marketing and Product Performance :
Support Product and Marketing teams by providing reporting and actionable analysis on the performance of autoTRADER marketplace products and dealer solutions
Conduct analysis of marketplace products with a focus on understanding the value provided to dealers. Understand the role product mix plays in generating value for dealers.
Create a dealer-centric view of performance using concepts like ROI and benchmarking to effectively communicate the value.
Participate in preparation and production of sales tools and training components necessary for the Sales team to better sell and understand the value of the products
Support Agile teams in product analyses, A / B tests, and provide guidance and insight on KPIs, product performance, and share recommendations for improvement
Customer-centric Analysis :
Analyze trends in customer acquisition, product migration (upgrade and downgrade movement), investigate root cause factors for customer product deactivations, play a leading role in providing actionable insight for customer retention initiatives, and acquisition and win back campaigns.
Data Knowledge :
Become familiar with autoTRADER product and market / industry data, specifically for the marketplace, and understand how it can be used to address business questions.
Identify opportunities to improve or augment data structures and reporting
Work with BI team to provide requirements for analysis tools and reporting that will make analysis efficient and visual.
Conduct UAT of new data sources to ensure data is consistent and complete

Bachelor’s degree or post-secondary education in business-related discipline
2-3 years related experience in conducting analysis and reporting / metrics in business environment
Demonstrated proficiency with large-scale relational database and BI reporting tools (ie SQL Server, R, SSRS, Crystal reports, Cognos)
Understanding of digital analytics
Expert knowledge of Office Suite Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Proficiency with data visualization tools preferred (Power BI, Tableau, Data Studio)
