We have a great opportunity for a result oriented professional to join our team and help build an asset management company from start up, while supporting North America’s largest private homebuilder.

Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Legal Entity Reporting and Taxation, the Tax and Treasury Analyst will support related activities across the Mattamy enterprise.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file income tax compliance
  • Prepare, file and track sales tax compliance
  • Reconcile internal sales tax records with Canada Revenue Agency records
  • Update and maintain internal treasury dashboards
  • Prepare external reporting to lenders
  • Review bank fees and charges for reasonableness
  • Provide support to cash management processes
  • Maintain strong working relationships with internal customers in the corporate office and divisional offices and work proactively to identify and solve problems
  • Provide support and / or lead ad hoc projects as necessary
  • What You Bring

  • University Degree, with a focus in Finance or Accounting is required
  • Must be close to attaining or have obtained the CPA designation
  • A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in an accounting role, tax experience an asset
  • Strong problem-solving skills and business acumen
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong organizational skills and pays close attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely
  • Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks at a given time and work in a fast paced deadline oriented environment
  • Strong proficiency in excel is required
