The Human Resources Generalist will report Monday - Friday to the IMP Group Ltd. Aerospace and Defence location near the Halifax International Airport.
What You Will Do :
Become the business partner for your dedicated client groups, advising on employee / labour relations, performance management and engagement.
Model and mentor all employees, in terms of HR and Corporate programs, policies and collective agreements, in order to provide exceptional human resource service.
Oversee the full cycle recruitment practices that develop diverse and proficient talent pools that in turn create successful new employees.
Investigate workplace employee / labour issues, that can sometimes be complex and related to different levels of management.
Lead the Attendance Management Program, while also developing performance improvement strategies for your dedicated certain client groups.
Create and present entertaining employee engagement sessions.
What you Will Bring :
3 years of experience in an HR role within a complex Human Resources Department.
Human Resources Management undergraduate or community college degree.
A knowledge of human resources practices, the Canada Labour Code and Human Rights.
Excellent written, interpersonal and communication skills.
Must be eligible to meet the criteria for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (GGP), U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Canadian government security clearances.
Must be willing to commute between various locations. The opportunity to travel across Canada and internationally representing IMP must be of interest.
