Health and Safety Advisor

Main functions You will have the opportunity to accompany colleagues as soon as an accidental event is declared. You will also have the chance to exercise your leadership role in setting up a culture of prevention by promoting safe work methods, developing tools and processes for detecting and controlling work-related risks.
More specifically you will be called to :
Accompany managers in the administration of claim files,
Identify potential risks as well as safe methods to counter these risks;
Develop and update personalized prevention programs for members;
Accompany members as required during inspections by CNESST;
Ensure the development and promotion of OHS policies and procedures;
Provide OHS process training to all members;
Act as a resource person for applicable OSH laws, standards and rules;
Participate in the development of the department;
Perform other related duties.
Qualifications and skills sought
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Relations or Human Resources combined with five (5) years of experience;
Training in health and safety or ergonomics an ASSET;
Have experience in OHS file management;
Be independent, empathetic, and have a sense of initiative and development, diplomacy and an ability to put things into perspective;
Mastery of the Office suite;
Any combination of training and / or experience deemed equivalent will be considered.
