Your role :

As Senior Communications Officer, you will execute a variety of marketing / communications strategies, projects and initiatives in support of Radio-Canada Regional Services.

Creativity and initiative are required in this role.

This position will be based in Vancouver.

Tasks :

  • Support the Manager, Marketing Communications, in planning, creating and implementing marketing, communications and partnership initiatives;
  • develop and execute plans aimed at reaching, converting and retaining audiences.

  • Explore, experiment with and recommend traditional and digital strategies for a variety of products and initiatives, including digital ad platforms.
  • Coordinate the implementation of promo campaigns, contests, ad placements and corporate advertising across a range of traditional platforms.
  • Work closely with local contributors to develop community engagement strategies and plans through sponsorship, partnership, and Radio-Canada-owned events or outreach.
  • Create and execute media relations and public relations strategies through social media.
  • Develop and produce promos for regional programs (TV, radio, digital) produced by regional stations, in accordance with network guidelines.
  • Gather and analyze data on communications campaigns.
  • Qualifications

    We are looking for a candidate with the following : Objective criteria :

  • Graduation from university or community college with a degree, diploma or certificate in marketing or communications, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Five or more years’ experience in communications, promotion or marketing.
  • Demonstrated superior communication, writing and editing skills in French; functional English.
  • Demonstrated traditional and social media marketing experience as well as SEM experience (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, Google, etc.).
  • Strong grasp of marketing principles, brand building and copywriting.
  • Experience with social analytics and reporting.
  • Experience in community relations and event management.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications.
  • Experience with creating, sourcing and developing strong, engaging visuals for social media (images, graphics, video).
  • Ability to plan and execute photo and video assignments through hands-on production.
  • Subjective criteria :
