POSITION OVERVIEW :
The Senior Systems Consultant position covers all aspects of Uniserve Communications business operations and is responsible for delivering enterprise level solutions with focus on customer satisfaction, project timelines and deliverables.
Meeting and exceeding our client needs by in-depth technical consulting, design and implementation services to help them become more efficient and grow their business.
The candidate will be responsible for network and infrastructure design, implementation, maintenance, and support a growing network infrastructure.
You will be part of a systems engineering team that is responsible for designing and developing scalable, maintainable, highly available network architectures that meet business objectives and SLAs.

Monitoring network engineering performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
Performing network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations.
Become familiar with client network, organizational structure, processes and procedures to ensure network is available and sustainable.
Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, Wireless, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS).
Design and implement O365 Migrations, VMWare, HyperV, Server and SAN solutions, Backup Solutions
Secure network system by establishing and enforcing policies; defining and monitoring access.
Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.
Provide Level-2 / 3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the companyâ€™s security team.
Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
Engineering of solutions for various project and in-house operational needs.
May need to install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc.
in accordance with standards and project / operational requirements.
Monitoring systems for uptime, security and availability.
May need to perform P2V and V2V systems migration.
Maintain data center environmental and monitoring equipment.
Provide Tier 2 / 3 Technical support per request from various constituencies.
Investigate and troubleshoot systems related issues.
Develop and maintain system documentation and procedures
Participate in on-call pager rotation
Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies.
Strong background in providing implementation and technical support of networking products in an Managed Services Environment.
Detailed technical experience in the design, installation and operation of high-end IP routers and Ethernet switches.
Ruckus / Brocade, Cisco and Juniper CCNP, JNCIS certifications or equivalent
Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, PPPoE, QoS)
Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP / IP model working in a WAN environment.
Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tool
Experience in Managed Services environment preferred
At least 4-6 Years Linux and Windows System Administration / Implementation experience.
LDAP, Active Directory, Radius, DHCP, DNS.
Cloud / Virtualization : VMWare, Hyper-V, P2V migration.
Monitoring : SNMP, Nagios, Cacti, RRD / MRTG, Netflow.
Operating Systems : Linux, Windows Server.
Storage : iSCSI, CIFS, NFS, Fibre Channel, RAID.
Managing and implementing server virtualization technologies like VMWare Server / ESX or Microsoft HyperV
Network virtualization experience (bonus if you have experience with NVGRE)
Must have good documentation, verbal and written communications skills.
Must have a vehicle, valid driverâ€™s license and clean driver's abstract.
