Major Duties

  • We are seeking a technically inclined team player to join our spare parts team who will be customer facing and specifically responsible for the following activities;
  • creating spare parts lists, spare part & assembly quotations, manage specific customer accounts and ensure on-time delivery of all orders / inquiries.

    This individual will work with a team of designers to develop unique spares lists, facilitate customer queries and provide a rapid response in this fast paced and professional work environment.

    Specific Responsibilities

  • Review engineering Bill of Materials and generate spare parts lists / Quotes
  • Work with project team to ensure that spare parts lists are accurate
  • Manage parts and assembly orders from quote to delivery and ensure on-time delivery
  • Work with internal / external customers to develop processes & system improvement initiatives.
  • Accept incoming calls, e-mails for customer requests.
  • Receive, review and problem solve all Purchase Orders from customers & confirming pricing and terms are consistent.
  • Main point of contact for internal personnel to address any / all challenges related to spare parts and assembly orders.
  • Liaise with internal and external customers to resolve business challenges and suggest / implement system improvements as required.
  • Expedite orders with Supply Chain as required
  • Ensure that invoices and shipping forms are processed upon completion of orders.
  • Assist in resolving spare parts accounts receivable issues.
  • Maintain and update order log sheets of all orders to ensure on-time completion.
  • Carry an after-hours pager on a rotational schedule.
  • Assist others as required under the direction of the Spare Parts CAPEX Lead.
  • Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the ATS Code of Business Conduct.
  • Adhere to all health and safety rules and procedures.
  • Education :

    A Post-secondary diploma or degree specializing in mechanical / electrical engineering or equivalent. Knowledge and understanding of JDEdwards, Salesforce, PLM Worx, Solidworks & Microsoft Office would be considered as an asset.

    Experience :

    Familiarity and experienced in an automated mechanical / electrical environment. Must be able to work in a multi-disciplined engineering environment and react with a sense of urgency as required.

    Ability to read engineering drawings, reference manuals and assembly schematics is an asset. Requires excellent interpersonal and commercial skills and the ability to work with little supervision.
