Pinchin is seeking a Project Assistant to join our team in Richmond!

The Project Assistant will contribute to the smooth and effective operation of our Richmond office, as well as provide project management system support to a team of environmental professionals.

A Day in the life of a Project Assistant at Pinchin :

  • Ensure deliverables are accurately formatted and that quality control forms have been completed by technical reviewers
  • Proof-reading deliverables as requested
  • Issue letters, reports, transmittals, spreadsheets, appendices (maps, photographs), etc. to clients as required by group protocols
  • Coordinate timely assembly, printing, delivery of reports, letters, etc.
  • Coordinate utility locates for field projects involving subsurface work as required
  • Project setups to ensure accuracy of details maintained in company project management system (Vision)
  • Receive / process internal samples for lab
  • Complete monthly office safety audits, as required
  • Assist in filling various chains of custody for samples
  • Generate shipping slips and receive office packages as required
  • Assist with Regional and or BC Audits (various disciplines)
  • Assist in generating office expense reports / invoices as required
  • Set-up of Team / Zoom meetings
  • Assist with taking minutes as required
  • Analyze and verify consistency, completeness, and accuracy of project data
  • Assist and or maintain a clean, organized desk and well-stocked kitchen area and supply room as required.
  • Assist with Social Committee duties as required
  • What you bring to the Pinchin team :

  • Required : High School Diploma and Secretarial or Administrative Assistant Course
  • Preferred : 1-year Business Administration or Business Computer Course
  • At least two years of experience in administrative functions
  • Advanced understanding of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Experience using a project-based accounting system considered an asset
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task, with high attention to detail
  • Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision under strict deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with an aptitude for working with all levels of the organization
  • Current and valid driver’s license with sufficient insurance, and access to a vehicle required
