Why is this role important?

This role focuses on the successful planning, developing, coordinating and implementation of specific Financial reporting and analysis.

In addition, financial modeling and data management supporting all units across Distribution & Supply Chain operations

Role Accountabilities :

  • Responsible for timely and accurate preparation of financial results and analysis
  • Prepare analyze various Operational and Financial Measurement reports
  • Analysis of financial results and provide explanations on major variances to budget / LE
  • Provide detailed analysis and interpretation of results to support period end process
  • Provide financial support and analysis to Supply Chain Operations (transportation)
  • Participate and prepare monthly financial forecasts, annual budget
  • Preparation of ad hoc analysis to support overall department objectives and initiatives
  • Prepare presentation material for Senior Management
  • Build financial models that consider multiple drivers and relay those drivers into accurate forecasts
  • Take large amounts of complex information from multiple sources and produce simple and easy-to-understand explanations of business results.
  • Work with key stakeholders on the budget process (transportation)
  • Job Qualifications :

  • Professional Accounting designation - or enrolled in advanced stages of professional designation program
  • 3-5 years previous work experience within Finance, supply chain experience would be an asset
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office applications - Excel, Access (pivot tables, macros, data modeling)
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills through previous experience in financial analysis
  • Ability to interpret and draw conclusions from financial information
  • Prior work experience in budgeting / planning a requirement
  • Core Competencies :

  • Creative problem-solver with a strong work ethic and attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Superior analytical skills with the ability to provide accurate forecasts and business insights
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills in order to effectively source information, obtain approvals, build relationships, and provide sufficient influence to achieve success.
