About the Role

Reporting to the WESCAM ILS Manager, the Supervisor,Technical Publications will act as the focal point for production and upkeep ofall technical manuals for WESCAM portfolio of MX-

Series products and associatedIntelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance mission system equipment. Indoing so, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring thattechnical publications are available to meet programs requirements and remainconsistent with the design status.

Responsibilities

Managethe activities of a team of technical writers producing Operating and Maintenancemanuals for the company s products and systems.

Planand implement updates to all publications to ensure consistency with equipmentdesign.

Coordinatethe preparation and validation of text and graphical content as well as otherdocumentation that may be related to customer requirements.

Overseeresearch and develop documentation from system requirements specifications,design documents and SME interviews

Supportthe technical publications input to bid and proposal activities by generationof task estimates, compliance responses and production of proposal material.

Developsubcontractor technical publications requirements.

Supportdepartmental forward workload planning activities.

Manageand report status and communicate risk to programs.

Accountablefor test and validate procedures for line replaceable units

Responsiblefor proof read manuals and technical information, and release all publicationmaterial by following specific ISO 9000 procedures for configuration management

Responsiblefor development of operations and maintenance manuals according to industry andCustomer specifications and standards (US MIL SPEC, ATA 100, Spec 1000D, DITA)

Overseethe interface with engineering staff for the purpose of generating userdocumentation

Assistthe Wescam ILS Manager in continuous improvement

Mentorand guide the development and training of the team in conjunction with the ILSManager.
