What is the opportunity?

Help transform how we manage performance in Technology & Operations (T&O), by developing and providing senior leadership with data-driven insights, and enabling effective management of our project portfolio.

You will collaborate closely with leaders across all T&O groups to prepare T&O’s Quarterly Business Review with the Group Executives including the CEO.

You will curate and integrate T&O’s story of performance and help demonstrate the value delivered to all Platforms and Functions.

This role is uniquely positioned in the organization as it supports all groups across T&O, with visibility to all LOBs, and prepares our most senior leadership to manage performance of the organization.

What will you do?

  • Act as point person for sourcing data, collection of statistics, analysis, and drawing story and trends from the information for T&O Quarterly Business Review (QBR)
  • Design and execute improvements in producing the T&O QBR
  • Assist with T&O's 5-Year Strategy routines to measure progress towards KPI targets and identify opportunities to accelerate strategy execution
  • Enable T&O management routines for effective decision making that improves value delivered from our portfolio of work
  • Support CIO Navigators to communicate value delivered to the LOB leaders and make collaborative decisions on funding investments, strategy, and project delivery
  • Help improve T&O productivity by defining and implementing new measurements and management routines
  • Partner with our Transformation team to support the realization of cost improvements and efficiency programs
  • What do you need to succeed?

    Must have :

  • Practical portfolio management experience, including implementing leading practices within RBC or at other large organizations
  • Proven experience with stakeholder management, facilitation and collaboration across large organizations
  • Analytical mindset, technical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing circumstances, competing priorities, and directing work effort of team members across groups
  • Value and outcome-oriented, with in-depth financial management and business case acumen
  • Nice to have :

  • Experience with Agile ways of working, and tooling, including JIRA and Confluence
  • Exposure to RBC portfolio reporting tools such as Tableau and working knowledge of RBC Project Management tools such as Planview
  • MBA, or similar education
  • Technology strategy development experience
  • Dashboard design and / or development experience
