Position Description :
The Enterprise Security Platforms (ESP) team is responsible for implementing the Firm’s Cybersecurity Strategy via the architecture, engineering, deployment and operations of technical security controls and capabilities for the Enterprise.
This goal is achieved via the team’s focus on architectural rigor, automation, agile delivery and adoption of ESP's control implementations.
ESP is looking for a Kubernetes DevOps specialist. Working in a squad-like structure spanning the ESP security disciplines.
The successful candidate will help drive the Firm’s DevOps and Agile Transformation by designing, implementing and deploying security controls along with the SDLC processes for building, shipping and integrating security into the Kubernetes Platforms.
Duties / Responsibilities
Creating delivery pipelines and automation for deploying / integrating security services along with policy and configuration into managed Kubernetes clusters
Overseeing and streamlining configuration management using various automation tools
Analyzing and exposing strengths and weaknesses in CI / CD processes and implementing improvements and automation
Assisting ESP teams in integrating security controls and policy into the Kubernetes platforms via dockerized containers and everything-as-code Methodologies
Investigating and evaluating new container orchestration technologies to continually evolve CI / CD pipelines
Collaborating with architecture, engineering and development teams to build self-service platforms that streamline application development and deployment
Raising awareness about DevOps, infrastructure as code and microservice approaches across operational, engineering and development teams, helping evolve the Firm's technology stack and introducing new application delivery paradigms
3+ years of solid DevOps experience with gradually increasing responsibilities across the breadth and depth of the DevOps cycle’s automation, orchestration, configuration management, CI / CD, monitoring
2+ years of experience with building, shipping, securing, monitoring and managing Dockerized applications from dev to production
1+ years of experience building, maintaining or supporting managed Kubernetes platforms such as OpenShift (prefered), EKS, AKS and GKE
Strong level of understanding and experience with CI / CD technologies : Jenkins, TeamCity, Stash, Git, Jira, etc.
Solid understanding of private, public and hybrid cloud models along with laaS, PaaS and SaaS service models
Strong understanding of application and platform developer needs and experiences
Experience working in Agile teams using Scrum, Kanban, or Agile frameworks
Quality and security conscious when implementing solutions.
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels and influence others
Demonstrated good time management, ability to prioritize tasks, and to meet deadlines across multiple projects
Confident and articulate self-starter
A team player with a high level of commitment and enthusiasm
Nice to have
Demonstrable experience with system configuration management tools (Chef, Puppet, Ansible, etc.) or with infrastructure as code tools : Terraform, Helm, Nomad, CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager, etc.
Experience debugging issues with Kubernetes clusters and complex applications hosted on managed Kubernetes platforms
Demonstrable experience with Azure DevOps : Azure Pipelines, Azure repos, Azure Artifacts
Demonstrable experience running production workloads on Azure Kubernetes Services, OpenShift or Elastic Kubernetes Services
Automation first approach, proven track record of automating large scale, complex distributed software delivery systems
Experience or good knowledge of Hashicorp Vault or other Secrets / Key Managements based systems
Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) workstream follower and contributor
Detailed knowledge of microservice architectures and services mesh technologies (Consul, Istio, Vagrant, Zookeeper, Linkerd, Aporeto)
Hands-on experience with scalable architectures using container orchestration, serverless technologies, API management and microservices frameworks
Proven track record of providing self-service platforms through infrastructure as code and cloud automation principles
Experience provisioning and operating Kubernetes clusters
Demonstrated ability to automate tasks with Bash, Python and / or Ansible
Thorough understanding of security architecture principles, software design and engineering best practices
Knowledge of French and English is required.
