Our client, a Consumer Goods company, locatedin Mississauga, ON is looking to hire a , on a full-time, permanent basis to support one of their leading Custrs.
Thisposition will be responsible for the development and management of all categorymanagement and space management projects for the category for the Customer todeliver against Company and Customer strategies.
Proactively participate in the development of the category strategy and business plan for the Customer.
Develop and Implement new future concepts, along with signage and department layout.
Update and Revise all current store department / floor plans to maximize overall department sales
Assist the Customer in creating their 5 year strategic plan and shopper opportunities to deliver baseline growth
Implement the Category Management Plan for the Customer and Integrated Commercial Business Plan (ICBP) for Company :
Develop and present category reviews for the Customer on an annual, quarterly and monthly basis. This includes 8 step Category Management from market and shopper assessment, strategy, 4P assessment, execution and scorecarding.
Creates and maintains the category management review binder for the account, meeting all of their requirements
Assists in the development of the sales business plans (ICBP) to meet the needs of both Company at a national and international level.
Leads monthly insight scorecard with the sales and category development teams.
Develops and presents business reviews of the account on an annual, quarterly and monthly basis.
Develop Category Space Management plan for the customer :
Develop space management planograms using various space management software
Work with the customer and key stakeholders to ensure optimal layouts for customer has been achieved to reach our joint targets, and assist with key customer presentations
Work with the Customer’s space management personnel to ensure Company is meeting their guidelines
Assist in developing the Company planogram philosophy that will support our brand objectives, and ensure all of these objectives both brand flow and shelving are achieved
Perform Pre and Post Implementation analysis of planograms :
Creating and analyzing Profitability Analysis Reports and recommending alternatives from the results
Proactive analysis to ensure profitability, share and to-space ratios are correct
Utilizes the Customer’s POS and Loyalty data to identify issues and opportunities and share finding as appropriate with the Customer and with Company Sales, Market Development Organization and Marketing.
Develops and delivers presentations specific to Company on an adhoc basis as required.
Completion of a University Degree in Business Administration with a focus on sales and marketing.
3 5+ years of experience in Category Management and ideally with Sales experience
Vendor Advisor experience required.
Customer POS experience required.
Strong analytical skills, interpersonal skills, presentation and strategic business skills and time management skills.
Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast paced environment.
Experience with Nielsen, Customer POS and Loyalty, ProSpace, required.
Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office Skills including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Financial acumen and an understanding of P&L drivers an asset.
Category and Grocery / Mass retail environment knowledge is an asset.
