Position Overview :

Woodbine Entertainment is on a mission to be a guest-centric marketing powerhouse! Reporting to the Woodbine Destination Marketing Manager, the Associate Marketing Manager position will execute marketing initiatives that will achieve results and revenue growth for Woodbine’s hospitality food and beverage business.


Responsibilities will include managing integrated advertising and promotional campaigns across all owned and paid media platforms, while working closely with internal teams in hospitality, sales, events, communications, marketing technology, and creative, as well as with external agencies.


The Dining Experience at Woodbine venues is completely unique and unparalleled in the Greater Toronto market, and we are actively trying to build awareness and trial of this incredible experience among new customers.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Understanding the experience, the target customer, and being aware of market trends and opportunities to better promote our hospitality offering.
  • Ensuring brand strategy alignment across all Woodbine’s hospitality marketing initiatives.
  • Supporting development and leading the execution of strategic and actionable marketing and promotions plans to increase Woodbine hospitality reservations and sales.
  • This includes marketing programs aimed at local audiences in and around Toronto / the GTA.

  • Supporting media planning for the Woodbine destination portfolio.
  • Managing the development of high quality creative that delivers on internal client needs and the approved brief, while adhering to project timelines and budgets.
  • Evaluating and approving creative development and promotion planning.
  • Working with external media agencies to plan and execute strategic media plans, manage deadlines, and delivery of all creative to agencies and vendors.
  • Monitoring and ensuring effective use of Woodbine’s owned channels to support hospitality promotions and marketing initiatives.
  • Ensuring that all business recommendations, post-mortem analyses, and metrics are well-documented and integrated to promote continuous improvement.
  • Developing ways for guests to share their experience with their social networks and managing the reputation of Woodbine experiences in collaboration with the Woodbine social media team.
  • Defining key performance indicators and monitor and analyze results achieved to ensure success of various programs.
  • Identifying and creating acquisition opportunities to develop Woodbine customer databases.
  • Develop content plan to keep customers aware of food offerings and other initiatives at all Woodbine venues and encourage repeat visits and increased spend.
  • Creating Winning Experience both internally to stakeholders and externally to customers in all that we do.
  • Qualifications : Education & Experience

    Education & Experience

  • 2 to 3 years’ experience in Marketing, with preference to those with experience in hospitality / food and beverage marketing and an end-
  • consumer / guest centric marketing capacity

  • Undergraduate degree in Marketing preferred
  • Strong understanding of advertising across both media and creative process
  • Proven ability to visualize and derive insights from analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to generate return on investment through promotional efforts
  • Strong understanding of marketing budgeting. Financial business acumen preferred.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills required for selling ideas, making presentations, reports and composing correspondence and marketing plans
  • Professionalism and interpersonal skills to represent Woodbine Entertainment to external customers, agencies and suppliers
  • Ability to influence non-direct reports to support marketing plans
  • Ability to sell-in ideas and programs to Management
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently to identify and complete work goals
  • Must be a highly collaborative team player who can influence across and up
