The ITAM Data Specialist will report to the ITAM Unit Manager, and will have as main objective to help the team increase the organizational maturity of ITAM practices, policies and processes as our company’s technological environment evolves and becomes more complex.

Responsibilities :

  • Validate ITAM data sources, inputting and updating data for hardware and software assets in relation to requisition, procurement, deployment, maintenance, warranty and disposal.
  • Identify discrepancies in the hardware and software asset records of the ITAM database through periodic quality assurance audits and resolve or escalate for resolution.
  • Utilize data from non-ITAM sources to validate and maintain data integrity of ITAM records to provide a complete picture of hardware and software assets throughout the asset lifecycle (purchase, deployment, change, disposal), including support of configuration management needs.
  • Develop controls and automation to help the ITAM team improve data accuracy.
  • Work closely with the ITAM Process specialist to make sure process changes maintain / increase data accuracy.
  • Build data-oriented processes around the usage of the ITAM tools and train the team members who will be using them.
  • Develop reports and dashboards of asset records to support ITAM processes
  • Perform asset tracking and coordination of internal controls and compliance monitoring activities.
  • Ensure the overall tracking of software license entitlements and evidence, based on software orders.
  • Conduct inventory data cleanup, evergreening / decommissioning activities.
  • Actively participate in the creation and optimization of standard operating procedures, processes, guidelines and documentation for all asset management processes.
  • Provide support and expertise while working closely with internal and external team members on related project work.
  • Develop analyses and dashboards to automate asset tracking and regular reporting activities.
  • Qualifications

  • 4 years experience in end user software asset management, IT / Cloud infrastructure or equivalent experience.
  • Good working knowledge and understanding of software licensing with major vendors.
  • Experience working with users from a customer service perspective.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Results-oriented approach and strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with SAM configuration, an asset.
  • Asset Management certification, an asset.
