The Opportunity : Talent Acquisition Specialist - Technology

We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our Technology Recruitment team in the Toronto office supporting our Consulting practice.

We look for individuals who are ready for a challenge and want to collaborate with diverse teams, take responsibility for their personal growth, and help our firm operate with quality and integrity.

The incumbent will be responsible for managing all aspects of talent acquisition for a portfolio of positions within the Technology Consulting practice.

Partnering closely with both business leaders and Human Resources, this position will focus on proactively sourcing and acquiring top talent including building a robust network within the Professional Services community and a solid pipeline of talent.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Provide full life-cycle recruitment support and guidance to client groups, cultivating strong working relationships with Partners, Directors and Managers.
  • Act as the subject matter expert and Consultant on matters regarding recruitment process, candidate markets, and competitive intelligence.
  • Communicate regularly with all stakeholders (client groups, HR, industry sector leaders) providing information not only on the progress of searches but including valuable market insights.
  • Ensure a deep understanding of the business strategy across all lines of service (Internal Firm Services, Consulting & Deals, Assurance and Tax) and direction so that recruitment efforts can be tailored to meet the client’s needs.
  • Deliver cost-effective recruitment strategies that ensure our ability to proactively identify and recruit top talent in a highly competitive employment market without being reliant on external agencies.
  • Collaborate with Partners / Directors and / or Managers to confirm appropriate approvals are in place, create requisitions and validate job descriptions to ensure the role is marketed to attract top talent.
  • Work with HR to negotiate and finalize offer details.
  • Ensure national standardized processes, policies and templates are utilized.
  • Work effectively with the Recruitment Shared Service Centre to ensure a consistent and successful onboarding process for new hires.
  • Requirements :

  • 5-7 years of recruitment experience, with a deep understanding of the full life-cycle of recruitment.
  • At least 5 years of solid technology recruitment experience is required, particularly in Cyber Security, Technology Advisory (architecture / infrastructure), Enterprise Applications (SAP / Workday / Oracle / Salesforce), Data & Analytics (Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence / Data Science), Digital (UX / Visual Design / Digital Strategy)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English. Command of the French language would be an asset.
  • Experience working in a professional services or a consulting firm would be considered a strong asset.
  • Undergraduate Degree (e.g., BA, BS) or equivalent experience.
  • CHRP preferred
  • Demonstrated achievement in sourcing for hard-to-find resources.
  • Well established relationship management skills.
  • Solid administrative and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work and navigate effectively in a complex, every changing, matrix organization / partnership structure.
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to assess situations strategically and develop a collaborative approach.
  • Excellent judgment with a broad view and good common sense.
  • Strong practical experience with an Applicant Tracking System in an environment where a high degree of data integrity was the norm.
  • Strong PC skills (Outlook; MS Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
