Deco Automotive, located in Rexdale and Brampton, Ontario is an automotive parts manufacturing facility that produces structural automotive components for Original Equipment Manufacturers ( OEM ) including BMW, Chrysler, Ford, General Motors, Tesla, and Toyota / Lexus.
Deco Automotives’ capabilities include; Stamping, Hydroforming, Laser, CNC Machining, E Coating, Steel and Aluminum Assembly.

Job Introduction
To ensure that the assigned task is performed safely, efficiently and in an organized manner in accordance with the plant rules and production schedules.
It is expected that there is a commitment for never ending improvements and a positive relationship to fellow Employees and supervisors.
Major Responsibilities
Have the understanding and knowledge of all equipment and machinery related to Tool & Die Making
Ability to build new tooling and fixtures, without supervision
Ability to try out new tooling and engineering changes without supervision
Fully conversant with SPC
Meet scheduled dates set by Maintenance Supervisor or Teamleader
Carry a company supplied communication device during scheduled shift to ensure support for production
Commitment to continuous improvement, both in the tools and processes
Good interpersonal skills and results oriented
Train apprentices in all aspects of Tool & Die Making and safety
Exemplary attitude towards housekeeping, safety, company policies and fellow Employees,
Make educated decisions based on production demands, and Deco’s best interest
Work within the guidelines of the Deco Employee Handbook
Lean Manufacturing and 5S concepts awareness and adherence
Commitment to continuous improvement and work place safety

Knowledge and Education
Licensed Tool & Die maker
A working knowledge (written & verbal) of both English and Mathematics
Proficient in the use of all Toolroom equipment and related measuring equipment
Working knowledge of CNC machines
Working knowledge of CNC Programming
Working knowledge of assembly tooling
Work Experience
5 years of Tool Room experience
Skills and Competencies
Physically capable of performing the essential duties of the job
Ability to perform all assigned tasks related to Tool & Die
Making in a timely manner while maintaining quality standards
Work Environment
Flexible on work hours and shifts
