Responsibilities

Actively participate in and operate within the terminal Safety Program in compliance with Lafarge Canada Inc’s safety and environmental policies General labour related duties and cleanup Unload bulk railcars and load bulk semi-

trucks Operation and daily maintenance of rail unloading and bulk truck loading equipment Operate a forklift to load and unload packaged cement Supervise and direct contractors on site, when required Supervision and direction of truck / railway carriers’ activities on site Inventory control Terminal Housekeeping Other associated duties that the employee is trained for Ability to work overtime and willing to work shift work if required.

Qualifications

Education : High school graduate or G.E.D. equivalent Experience and Skill Set : High school diploma or equivalent Demonstrates commitment to safety for oneself and others Mechanical aptitude a positive attribute Time and self-

management skills as part of a team or independently Physically fit to encompass labor requirements of role Demonstrate strong skills in problem solving, decision making and multi-

tasking Good verbal and written communication skills Computer literacy : including Excel, Word programs a benefit Valid class 5 driver’s license Understanding of building materials industry, including cement product knowledge an asset
