Responsibilities : Supports, implements and administers company policies and programs in the areas of recruitment, new hire orientation, retention, compensation, benefit administration, disability management, training, health and safety, performance management, employee relations, and internal and pay equity, as applicable.
Serves as a strategic business partner with the site’s senior management team to enhance employee engagement, support the growth and development of employees, increase productivity, improve business results and achieve company’s business goals.
Delivers programs to ensure values are deeply embedded in the corporate culture. May be an active member of site Health and Safety Committee.
Understands and ensures ongoing compliance with internal audit requirements. Contributes as an active member of national human resources team.
Partners closely with other regional HR partners and serves as back-up for sites within an assigned region. Provides training to employees on internal systems (time and attendance, recruiting system and HR / payroll system).
Educational / Experience Requirements : Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources or related field. HR designations a plus.
3-5 years work experience as a generalist, ideally supporting a global / matrixed organization. Experience supporting information technology employees with teams located internationally.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and knowledgeable with HRIS, payroll, timekeeping systems and recruiting systems.
Workday and Kronos experience highly preferred. Current knowledge of provincial and federal legislation as it pertains to Human Resources matters.
Excellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills with the ability to juggle multiple demands to achieve tight deadline.
High degree of ethics, integrity and confidentiality. Demonstrates sound judgement and is resourceful, self-motivated and self-reliant.
Excellent written and oral communication, presentation and facilitation skills. Experience influencing and strategically solving problems.
