Cogeco Peer 1 is currently seeking a talented and experienced individual to join the Data Center Infrastructure Team in Toronto.
The successful candidate will report to the Global Manager, Data Center Infrastructure and work closely with the cross-functional groups across the organization.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated and detail-oriented. The candidate must demonstrate solid organizational skills and have proven capabilities in project management, handling multiple workstreams, problem solving and prioritizing projects.

University Degree, College Diploma or relevant, successful experience in a similar role.
Work Experience :
Minimum 10 years of experience in managing Mission Critical Infrastructure
Minimum 5 years of management experience is required.
Proven, successful experience in project management
In depth knowledge of data center engineering, across all disciplines (Elec. Mech. Arch.)
Thorough knowledge of DCIM and BAS Systems
Thorough comprehension of Data Center Tier Ratings and concepts as outlined by the Uptime Institute
Thorough comprehension of ASHRAE standards as related to data center environments
Thorough knowledge of cabling standards (TIA)
Security system knowledge : must understand security concepts and operations, both physical and virtual. Includes security policies, input / output devices, control logic, and operation
Life Safety Systems : must have solid understanding of life safety systems. From fire detection to suppression, trouble shooting and restoration.
Manage and maintain safe working environments with the ability to identify potential hazards. Strong knowledge of standards as outlined by the MOL, ESA and other governing bodies
Effective and professional communication skills, both orally and written
Develop and sustain cooperative working relationships with internal groups and external contractors
Ability to partner with clients to meet client needs, identify pain-points and plan resolution
Ability to manage multiple demands and competing priorities, adapt to new ideas and constant changes
Comprehensive background using MSWord, Excel, Visio, Auto CAD
Experience establishing and maintaining budgets, both OPEX and CAPEX
The Regional Infrastructure Manager is responsible for the management of corporate projects and initiatives, such as, infrastructure monitoring, risk assessments, infrastructure maintenance, procedures and policies.
Responsible for local and regional data center infrastructure as requested by the Global Manager, Data Center Infrastructure.
Will act as an escalation point for local Data Centre Managers and Data Centre Infrastructure related customer escalations.
Project Management of data center and office related projects and initiatives.
Coordination with the Standards and Maintenance teams for Change Management and Vendor Management.
This position will work closely with the Regional Data Center Operations Managers, the Infrastructure Management team and partner with the Security, Compliance and Standards as well as the Preventative Maintenance group.
Development and execution of departmental strategic plan with the Global Manager, Data Center Infrastructure or Director
Responsible to ensure audit requirements are always adhered to and any non-compliant findings remediated.
Adhering to all safety regulations as per company policy.
