AMD is looking for people to join a multi-disciplinary team developing math and communication libraries used in high performance computing and machine learning applications on the AMD Radeon Open Compute (ROCm) GPU platform ().

You will be responsible for designing, implementing, testing, documenting, and optimizing open source GPU accelerated libraries including Tensile, rocBLAS, rocSPARSE, rocSOLVER, rocALUTION, rocFFT, rocPrim, rocThrust, rocRAND, and RCCL.

Additionally, you will work with key technical experts within AMD and with our partners and customers to improve the AMD ROCm software ecosystem.

What We Need To See :

  • A B.Sc. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or equivalent;
  • advanced degrees an asset

  • Strong programming skills in C or C++
  • In-depth knowledge of software development practices including debugging, testing, version control, documentation, and bug tracking
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ways to Stand Out From The Crowd :

  • Experience with GPU-based parallel computing using HIP, CUDA, or OpenCL
  • Understanding of CPU / DSP / GPU architectures and key optimization techniques
  • Assembly language programming skills
  • Python scripting experience
  • Experience with parallel programming techniques such as MPI, OpenMP, vectorization
  • Experience with analysis and solution of numerical problems typically found in machine learning or scientific computing applications
