  • The role of the Senior Deployment and Support Engineer is to support our carrier customers with innovative technology and market-leading products and solutions in areas like 4G Core, IP Multimedia Sub-System (IMS).

    Role and Responsibilities

    Execution of on-site & remote deployments of 4G Core & IMS Network elements

  • Build & setup necessary infrastructure environment to carry out System test for 4G Core & IMS Network elements
  • Define 4G & IMS functional specification & prepare high level Design documents.
  • Prepare and deliver MOPs, Installation & troubleshooting guide for 4G Core & IMS Network Elements
  • Integration & test 4G Packet Core & IMS network elements and eco system of new or already installed application, interfaces configuration & integration.
  • Co-accountable for functional & non-functional testing of deployed systems
  • Involve in troubleshooting, software updates and manage change request
  • Involve in preparing & executing Acceptance Test Case.
  • Co-accountable for operational launch of solution
  • Develop / modify test scripts to enable automation of System deployments, System Integration & verification activities
  • Requirements / Knowledge :

  • MUST HAVE Strong working knowledge of wireless telecommunications networks
  • Well Versed of 3GPP Rel 13+ 4G Packet Core (MME, SAE GW, PCRF), IP Multimedia Sub-systems(IMS)
  • Exposure to Virtual Machine, VNF, MANO or Container / MicroService infrastructure tools
  • Exposure to Platform such as RedHat Openshift, VMWare is desired
  • Experience on SIP, DIAMETER, HTTP / HTTPS, SOAP, RTP / SRTP
  • Experience in System Integration, designing, deploying and testing in a multi-Vendor platform scenario.
  • Proven experience working with distributed Linux operating systems (installation, configuration and troubleshooting).
  • Understanding of Linux core fundamentals, command-line operations, scripting and service monitoring.
  • Solid understanding of IP networking and network devices.
  • Good scripting skills (awk, sed, bash).
  • Firm understanding of version control systems such as subversion.
  • Solid understanding of agilie methodologies, working in small teams, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.
  • Have exceptional troubleshooting and customer-handling skills.
  • Show excellent communication in English (both verbal and written).
  • Must be willing to do some business traveling
  • Education :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related field, with 10+ years of directly related experience required.
  • Experience :

  • Design, integration, testing & deploying 4G Packet Core(MME,SAE GW, PCRF) & IMS software.
  • Developing new ways of automation and continuous delivery.
  • Explore, evaluate and adopt technologies so as to add value in the deployment process and / or the platform to be delivered.
  • Taking ownership of technical issues, and working with our Development group to resolve issues
  • Resolving escalated customer complaints.
  • Documenting troubleshooting and problem resolution steps.
