to), where (occupational title, organization) and how you obtained your education and experience. It is recommended that you describe the experience examples in specific terms, providing sufficient details so that the Assessment Board can clearly understand.

Describe the situation / task, the action you took, what you accomplished and / or what you learned. The content of your response must be supported by your resume as your responses to these questions will be used as a primary source of information and your resume will only be used to validate this information.

Should you indicate in your response "please refer to resume" your application will be rejected. Lack of examples and details will result in your application being rejected as the Assessment Board will have insufficient information to determine if the requirement is met.

This inventory is for casual employment. Casual employment is a temporary employment of 90 working days or less, in a calendar year, to meet needs arising from such contingencies as vacations, sick and training leaves, to conduct special projects that are anticipated but dependent of the availability of funds, etc.

NOTE : Casual appointments are excluded from the provisions of the Public Service Employment Act (PSEA). This means casual appointments will not be eligible to apply to internal appointment processes.

In addition, the PSEA specifies that the number of days worked as a casual worker cannot exceed 90 days in a calendar year within the same department.

In addition to the annual salary, the position in Port Hardy, B.C. is currently subject to an Environmental Allowance and the position in Sandspit, B.

C. is currently subject to a Environmental Allowance and a Living Cost Differential. Please see "Other Information" below for additional information.

Applicants who meet the essential qualifications will have their application included in the inventory for this ongoing selection process.

As positions become available, the applicants meeting the initial screening requirements identified by the hiring manager may be contacted and referred for consideration.

Your application in this inventory will be active for 3 months. A notice that your application is about to expire will be posted to the My jobs menu of your account 10 days before the end of your active period.

    In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

    A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and / or experience.

    Experience in providing administrative support services in an office environment.

    Experience in providing service to clients.

    Experience in the use of various software programs such as : Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.

    Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution in a field related to the duties of the position

    Experience dealing with individuals to obtain or provide information requiring explanation and / or clarification in a client service environment.

    Experience in taking minutes at meetings.

    Experience in records management such as classifying and indexing records, file maintenance and file disposition.

    Experience in providing administrative support services to senior management.

    Experience in event planning and agenda coordination.

    Experience in researching, extracting and compiling information from various sources.

    Experience in data entry and the preparation of correspondence and reports.

    Experience using a human resource management software

    Experience providing administrative support services in the area of goods and services procurement.

    Experience in providing support services within Transport Canada.

    Experience in providing human resources support services in Staffing in the federal public service.

    Experience providing financial support services in one (1) or more of the following : (1) Reconciling financial transactions, (2) Verifying and paying invoices, (3) Extracting, reconciling, interpreting and compiling financial information for use by management, (4) Preparing budgets and financial spreadsheets, (5) Creating contracts and / or purchase orders

    Experience in developing business processes, procedures or training material

    Experience in monitoring and compliance

    Experience providing recommendations and advice to management or clients

    Experience in business travel support services (such as making travel arrangements, preparing itineraries, and processing travel claims)

    Experience in preparing spreadsheets and analyzing financial data

    Experience using Microsoft PowerPoint.

    Interested persons must meet each essential qualification to be appointed to the position; however, a person may be appointed to the position even though he / she does not meet any or all of the asset qualifications, operational requirements or organizational needs.

    Management may also decide to use top-down selection at any stage of the process.

    A cut-off score may also be used at any stage of assessment.

    Random selection may be used.

    A top-down screening approach may be undertaken. Only the top ranking candidates may be invited to the assessment phase of the process.
