Job Description

Reporting to the Site Wide Services Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following :

  • Supervise facilities soft services and administers contract charges and time approvals.
  • Conducts building walk-throughs of assigned portfolio and correct deficiencies. Maintains equipment and meter reading logs where required.
  • Respond to requests for services from the occupants of the offices and shops in a timely manner.
  • Processing new work notifications and managing open notifications to support building and occupant needs.
  • Perform minor and routine maintenance functions for lighting, electrical, carpentry and other building maintenance tasks.
  • Conducts detailed inspections to ensure that scheduled and periodic maintenance of building and equipment have been completed.
  • Plays an active role in the development of the safety culture on the project, making safety a natural part of all work performed.
  • Manages the maintenance and compliance of project site roads, laydowns and bridges as well as dewatering and winter services.
  • Ensures all site common areas are kept adequately dewatered and that all dewatering activities meet environmental compliance requirements
  • Direct Site Wide Service Contractor in snow removal from roads and laydowns
  • Support the Site Wide Service department with all scopes of work as needed

    Must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located.

    Basic Job Requirements

  • 10 years of practical experience with road maintenance, dewatering, snow clearing and sanding
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing subcontractors
  • Considerable experience in transportation related road operations management issues such as road repair, road cleaning, winter services, winter operations and traffic management, especially on Construction project sites
  • Demonstrated experience and familiarity with operating and maintaining a wide variety of heavy equipment, including but not limited to graders, skid steers, dozers, excavators, sand trucks, wheel loaders, aerial work platforms, telehandlers, rock trucks, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience with dewatering equipment and managing significant dewatering activities
  • Experience in operating building systems is also an asset.
  • Knowledge of building codes and standards
  • Must be a self-starter and work well with minimal supervision.
  • Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Good computer skills including familiarity with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Good working knowledge of all aspects of building operations and maintenance.
  • Good ability to effectively identify and solve building related problems.
  • Ability to read and understand building floor plans and design drawings.
  • Good ability to organize, prioritize and complete multiple tasks with minimal direction.
  • Demonstrate flexibility responding to emergencies and rapidly changing needs.
