Responsibilities

During your VIE mission you will be in charge of these responsibilities :

  • Participate in monthly close of SG AMER entities.
  • Monitor daily / monthly Back Office to Inventory (HLR) and Inventory to Accounting reconciliation (RCG).
  • Maintain detailed off-line reconciliations for general ledger activity that is processed manually to the general ledger outside of the upstream product systems.
  • Perform Balance Sheet & Off-Balance Sheet substantiation & sign-off.
  • Prepare substantiation between back office processing systems to corresponding subsidiary ledger balances.
  • Manage small to medium scale project initiatives involving individuals from diverse groups.
  • Assist with other tasks as required.
  • Profile

    Graduate from Engineering school, Business School or University with a Master degree in Finance or Accounting.

    You ideally have :

  • A previous experience in financial accounting.
  • Understanding and working experience with IFRS, French and US GAAP, and the core differences in the Accounting treatments as they relate to the role of DQA.
  • Experience with reconciliations within a banking or financial institution.
  • You are fluent in English and French.

    You are proficient with Microsoft Office.

    The VIE assignment in a nutshell

    This VIE in Montreal is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment.

    It will last 24 months.

    The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space.

    We would like to draw your attention to the fact there that your VIE mission could potentially get postponed, depending on the evolution of the health crisis and subjects to the decision made by the Crisis and Support Centre of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE).

    In addition, the selected candidate will only be paid upon confirmation from Business France and arrival in the country of assignment.
