About the role

Equitable's digital platform is our strategic enabler to offer innovative solutions that challenge the status quo in banking.

As a Software Developer, you will design, develop and support API and Micro Service solutions which power both external and internal channels.

This is your opportunity to unleash your development capabilities in a bank with a modern, cloud native tech stack. You are a self-starter who can take a concept and drive it through to design and implementation.

We're looking for software developers with both savvy technical skills and strong communication / collaboration skills to build features and products that delight our customers.


  • Assess and collaborate on user experience and requirements
  • Design your solutions
  • Develop - primarily Spring / Springboot based Micro Services with cloud native patterns, but also MuleSoft APIs and / or Angular front-end depending on skillsets and need
  • Own what you build; support and monitor
  • Must Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
  • Solid knowledge (5+ years) with Java based development, including git / branch management, configuration, deployment, unit testing
  • 2+ years hands-on experience building API solutions
  • Ability to manage time and adhere to tight deadlines, and to communicate technical information and ideas effectively
  • Nice-to-have

  • Experience with APIs management tools
  • Cloud native design patterns
  • Azure or Pivotal Cloud Foundry experience
  • Full stack (Angular along with the back-end)
  • Experience using JIRA & Confluence for sprint based delivery
