Reporting to the Vice President, Product Pricing and Underwriting, the Pricing Manager is accountable for conducting analyses of company and industry experience and estimating rate adequacy within either personal or commercial insurance.

In this role, you will : develop rating structures for each business within a region actively promote rate adequacy with other departments and regions and negotiate to achieve desired results play a key role in Economical’s financial planning process Your Responsibilities Lead the creation of regulatory rate filings, and negotiate with provincial regulators to secure desired structural and rate amendments as per internal timelines Work with the strategic business units and regions to solve issues of the following nature : retention, growth, profitability and competitive positioning through the use of data and actuarial techniques Participate in the corporate business plan reforecast exercises by providing actuarial advice on parameters used to forecast business growth, retention and profitability, including assessing what future rate increases may be approved by provincial regulators Work with Advanced Analytics to combine creative actuarial knowledge with sound business judgment in developing sophisticated models that assist the company in meeting growth and profitability targets Provide leadership and guidance, technical instruction and ongoing feedback to direct reports regarding performance, productivity, work quality, personal conduct and adherence to corporate policies and procedures Actively involved in recruiting and retaining experienced Actuarial staff Your Skills and Experience University degree in Actuarial Science or a relevant discipline Must have successfully achieved Associateship in the Casualty Actuarial Society Must have 3+ years of relevant full-
