Job Description :
Responsible for processing Canada payroll data i.e. salary, yard and E&D payrolls as well as processing Canada benefits data by performing the following duties.
Payroll responsibilities :
1.Ensures accuracy and completeness of payroll data entry and time entry for their responsible branch locations.
2.Process full cycle payroll using PC / PW including inputting new hires, terminations, and employee change.
3.Produce manual cheques for employees as requested by the branches or management.
4.Provides support when other team members are absent.
5.Reconciles and completes ROEs for terminated employees.
6.Maintain personal files for employees of their responsible branch locations.
7.As a team member, shares in rotating weekly responsibilities.
8.Reconciles and posts payroll journals.
9.Respond to phone, email, and mail inquiries from employment insurance, CRA, employees, branches, unions, and Human Resources.
10.Maintain and reconcile union deductions and remittances.
11.As a team member, share in year-end responsibilities including review and correction of T4 exceptions and distribution of T4 forms.
12.Other monthly, annual, and adhoc responsibilities as assigned.
Benefit responsibilities :
1.Ensures accuracy and completeness of benefits data entry for their responsible locations.
2.Process benefits using on carrier online system including input of new hires, terminations, and employee changes to status / salary.
3.Provides support for other benefit team members when they are absent.
4.Maintain personal benefit files for employees of their responsible locations.
5.Reconciles and completes benefit remittances and adjustments.
6.Respond to phone, email, and mail inquiries from employees, branches, and Human Resources.
7.Distribute benefit cards and change information to employees.
