The Role

We are looking for keen sales and service professionals to join our contact centre as Sales Consultants, with a number of positions available.

We pride ourselves on providing the best service to all our customers and partners to ensure they have a great experience and the flexibility needed in today's climate.

We are expecting a big return for domestic tourism and we need great people to help us.

At AAT Kings, no two days are the same, one day you're selling a day trip at Uluru and the next you may be assisting our guests book a short break to Kakadu and Arnhem land.

You'll become a specialist across our day tours and short breaks product range to pro-actively and effectively convert enquiries into bookings.

  • Key activities will include;
  • Manage all guest enquries efficiently and accurately from credit requests, refund requests, cancellations and sales.
  • Convert sales leads from multiple sources to bookings, upselling and cross selling where possible
  • Maintain a superior level of sales and service standards as you work towards monthly and annual targets
  • Be a keen problem solver and look to find solutions for agents and guests on the first contact
  • Participate in ongoing learning and development activities
  • Maintain up to date and accurate product and policy knowledge to best service our guests
  • Back office support as required
  • Work a flexible 7 day roster including early morning shifts (630am start), evening shifts (9pm finish) and rotating weekend shifts
  • Who we’re looking for

    We are looking for a service and sales professional who is comfortable with and enjoys working to targets. As a strong communicator in all formats, you will also be a strong relationship builder.

  • To be successful you will;
  • Display strong customer service skills at all times
  • Possess a flexible and adaptable approach to work in order to work with changing demands
  • Bring proven experience and results in a sales based role preferably in a service related environment
  • Possess a strong knowledge and understanding of the Australian and / or NZ market / destinations or willingness to learn
  • Be curious and contribute to the improvement of processes and systems through feedback and action.
  • Be competent in Microsoft Office Suite and confidently pick up new systems
  • Those with a travel / tourism and or insurance background will be highly regarded.
