The primary function of the Crew Foreman is to provide site level "hands on" technical expertise during the Construction Project.

A Strike Crew Foreman provide leadership and scheduling, and coordinate, supervise and ensure the safety and productivity of a larger crew.

A successful candidate must be willing to travel for various project-based work.


  • Project start will kick off in mid June 2020 and is located in NW Alberta
  • Candidates must have their own means of transportation to and from the job site
  • Candidates with Municipal Water & Sewer experience will be considered an asset
  • Work experience references are required and should be included along with your resume

  • Participate in scheduling and work place planning
  • Manage and maintain client relationships
  • Participate in safety / incident investigations and reviews
  • Identify needs and deficiencies in the plan / schedule and communicate this to the appropriate people
  • Ensure quality and inspection of installation
  • Apply project procedures, work site policies and collective agreement requirements
  • Complete quality reports and required statistics
  • Inform the Superintendent of any out of scope work
  • Provide crews with adequate supervision to accomplish tasks in a safe effective manner
  • Coordinate manpower movement within their area
  • Ensure all workers receive the proper training
  • Education

  • Journeyman trade certification in a relevant trade
  • Experience

  • Five (5) to seven (7) years’ experience as a qualified and competent trades person
  • Three (3) years of supervision experience
  • Knowledge & Skills

  • Experience with the MS Office Suite
  • Capable of setting and managing priorities to meet all deadlines
  • Strong coordination skills and organization skills
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid drivers license
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
