This role sits within LBC, a subsidiary of Laurentian Bank Financial Group
The Process Engineer will be responsible for leading large-scale process initiatives throughout Laurentian Bank to drive improved performance in cost, quality, delivery, sustainable productivity, customer satisfaction and risk reduction.
The ideal candidate is passionate about leading change and driving results through influential leadership and process excellence methodologies.
Actively contributing as part of the broader Process Excellence team, the Process Engineer is charged with execution of the Process Excellence vision and strategy with a focus on process optimization supporting Laurentian Bank priorities.
This role requires a strategic problem-solver who is an effective influencer and has a high degree of business insight. Key to success is the ability to understand processes, how they align to transformational initiatives and how to make impactful changes to better align to the Laurentian Bank strategy.
Responsibilities
ºChampion the development and delivery of the Process Excellence Training Certification Program
ºFacilitate key strategic discussions. Provide thought leadership around operational excellence, digitization, automation, investment prioritization and optimal resource planning
ºMaintain a pipeline of improvement initiatives. Identify opportunity areas where process re-engineering can significantly impact efficiency, quality, and user experience.
Solicit, collect and prioritize business process improvement candidate projects by partnering with leaders, process owners, and business stakeholders, as needed
ºLead process engineering initiatives to optimize customer experience, increase process velocity and agility, minimize costs, and set the stage for orderly growth and expansion
ºResearch process improvement tools, techniques, and technology to determine potential impact and opportunities to provide additional value to the organization
ºServe as an expert resource to the business on process excellence philosophy, methodology and tools, developing and mentoring peers on Process Excellence methodologies
Qualifications
ºBachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or Computer Science
ºLean Six Sigma, PMP and Agile / Scrum credentials required
º10 years of experience managing large scale transformational projects in a complex business and systems environment (Financial Services industry preferred)
ºPrior experience working on Robotic Process Automation (RPA) initiatives from ideation to implementation to post production maintenance
ºWorking knowledge of Business Intelligence reporting applications (Power BI, Tableau)
ºAble to analyze information, make connections and apply deep level thinking
ºExcellent time and project management skills with the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and work collaboratively
ºProven success providing Senior Leaders and Executives with succinct communications (written & verbal)
ºSelf-starter who thrives and can multitask in fast-paced and often ambiguous environments
ºPrior consulting experience is a plus
ºBilingual (English and French), an asset.
