FastCompany The Role : Our ideal candidate will provide exceptional IT support to HQ employees as well as showroom employees across geographical locations ensuring an overall high level of employee satisfaction on an ongoing basis.

Your ultimate responsibility is to provide day-to-day maintenance and support of the company’s IT systems. This is a fantastic opportunity for a keen professional who likes challenges and offers consistent results.

To sparkle in the role you will :

  • Ensure all IT systems are in working order on a regular basis, including responding to specific problems as they arise
  • Plan and implement regular maintenance checks for all equipment
  • Ensure timely responses to the needs of employees both on and offsite
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues and requests
  • Troubleshoot and maintain local network including Ethernet and WIFI
  • Day-to-day network functions such as user maintenance, e-mail administration and back-ups
  • Set up work stations for all new employees
  • Download required software to desktops as needed Help desk support via email, remote desktop and in person
  • Responsible for physical equipment moves (computer, monitors, etc.)
  • Maintain and foster relationships with key suppliers of IT resources
  • Responsible, as required, for the day-to-day communication with key suppliers (help desk, etc)
  • Partner with all departments to determine and analyze business requirements
  • Develop and maintain application related documentation & procedural guidelines
  • Oversee the design of the technology infrastructure according to business needs
  • Manage network administration including servers, desktops, and communication systems
  • Develop and test disaster recovery scenarioAd Hoc projects as they arise
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Our bright and shiny candidate has :

  • Diploma or degree in a computer science or a related field
  • 2-3 years minimum experience as network / systems administrator
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong skills with both Mac and Windows platforms
  • Windows Server & AD experience
  • Experience with cloud technologies
  • Self-starter who can manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
