As a Firmware Test Automation Engineer in the Solid State Drives (SSD) group at Micron Technology, you will develop and maintain the test automation infrastructure used to validate and verify firmware for Solid State Drives using NAND Flash memory products.
This assignment involves creating automated testing environments that run tests, record test results, and automatically generate test reports.
The testing will be used to verify functionality, endurance, and performance requirements of Solid State Drives for the enterprise market.
You can expect to work closely with firmware test engineers and firmware developers to create a seamless testing environment to constantly monitor the state of Firmware development.

In this role, you will develop test environments and test automation scripts to validate firmware running in simulation or on prototype products.
Your focus will be on creating a fully automated test environment that can run firmware regression tests on demand, on code promotion, nightly, and weekly.
The test platforms will include Linux PCs running internally developed test scripts and industry standard NVMe testers. Test automation scripts will be written using Linux shell scripts, Python, and tester proprietary languages.
