Operations Manager - B100

Mission

Manage the procurement, replenishment and transport of all required raw materials to B100 operations teams as required. This will include pre-

assembled connections, vessels, outsourced large scale buffer supply and other raw materials such as glycerol, filters, powder raw materials and miscellaneous production related material.

Key accountabilities

1. B100 Logistics and Materials Management strategy and organization

Lead logistics and materials management readiness for B100 Operations. Interface and coordinate M-Tech, Local and Global Procurement and suppliers to develop strategies and solutions for large scale buffer supply, dispensing operations, cold storage and warehousing.

Develop site and B100 interface and materials management and logistics plan.

Accountable for developing and implementing materials organization to support B100 operations through project phase into facility start-up and ramp-up.

Develop and implement logistics and materials management and storage strategy for B100 operations including but not limited to raw materials, consumables, SUT, dispensed and kitted materials, testing, sampling, and equipment.

2. B100 materials logistics and operation to support the B100 project

  • B100 operational accountability to liase with planner, B91 warehouse operations, B92 Final Formulations, B100 Operations (MWS, cP upsteam, cP downstream, D&T, Adsorption), Powder Dispensing Departments and external suppliers to meet delivery and supply requirements for B100 operations including;
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures and Standard Work Instructions
  • Assist and support the execution of validation protocols including Installation Qualification, Operational Qualification and Performance Qualification protocols for new and existing equipment.
  • Ensure planning and execution of deliveries schedule for production team.
  • Implement SMS systems and methodology to optimize logistics and MM operations including daily +QDCI meetings and FfaST meetings
  • Ensure compliance of MM systems SAP
  • Responsible for waste and recycled material management
  • 3. Ensure compliance to departmental Quality & HSE requirements

  • Ensure equipment and facility is in a state appropriate with HSE policies.
  • Report accidents, near-accidents and unsafe situations, EH&S.
  • Lead safe work environment for the B100 Materials Management staff by initiating and supporting HSE elements
  • Address any gaps in equipment validation status.
  • Accountable for implementation of and compliance with cleaning, validation, monthly QO-OQ programs, training, maintenance and safety programs.
  • 4. Ensure relevant staff are trained and equipped to perform the assigned tasks

  • Develop training MM activites and SMS systems for logistics and materials management
  • Education and experience

    Specific degree, duration of experience (Required to hold the job) :

  • Minimum BSc or Engineering degree
  • Minimum three (3) to five (5) years relevant experience preferably in a pharma and or materials management environment
  • Ability to lead through example and process managerial skills for handling group of individuals (Building / leading / training a team)
  • Strong knowledge of cGMP in pharmaceutical / biologicals is essential
  • Strong problem solving, communication, team building and people skills
