Description

The incumbent provides administrative support duties and contributes to the overall growth and development of the Ontario and Quebec Solutions office.

This is a service oriented position with a strict 3 to 5 day turn around for policies, which if not adhered to has the potential to impact business.

1.Administration

  • issue new policies, renew and process mid-term and policy changes
  • reviews renewal data, calculates renewal premiums and inputs data on all applicable systems
  • prepares endorsements, emails / letters, invoices, summaries and related material to the broker or client
  • prepare proposals and other quote documents
  • calculates war risk premiums
  • print and distribute policy brochures / forms
  • proofread forms for brokers / clients / Administrators
  • contact brokers / clients with outstanding renewal and administration issues
  • Photocopying and filing
  • 2.Co-ordination

  • assists in the review / analysis of policies and request any required renewal information
  • provides administrative support to the Manager and assists the other Administrators as needed
  • assists in the review, evaluation of risk and analyzing of specifications for quote requests
  • 3.Customer Service

  • assists brokers / clients with policy implementation, interpretation, administration and claim requirements
  • respond to client phone calls and email inquiries
  • assists brokers regarding licensing requirements
  • Provides sales support functions as required
  • 4.Technical

  • accept binding of quotes for policy issuance and prepare policy issuance instructions
  • Qualifications

  • High School diploma with 2 years post-secondary education
  • 3+ years of Special Risk Administration general or related office insurance experience
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Bilingual in French and English
  • Excellent analytical skills to resolve problems and display innovative skills for evaluating, improving and implementing
  • Computer literacy and proficiency using Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access
  • Detail oriented and thorough
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Customer service focused with professional manner
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Positive attitude and willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done
