Position Description :

CGI has an immediate requirement for Senior Consultant, Service Asset & Configuration Management to support transformation in its approach to information technology (IT) service delivery through various initiatives focused on enhancing system resilience, improving agility and fostering innovation.

These initiatives, coupled with an increased use of managed services and accelerated cloud adoption, will require a complete reimagining of IT service management roles, processes and tools.

The Senior SACM Consultant is responsible for leading and facilitating the conversion of business and Enterprise Service Management strategies into action by designing and / or re-

engineering processes and leveraging the appropriate technology to operationalize the process(es) in order to deliver the desired business outcomes.

Your future duties and responsibilities :

As a contributing member of the service management transformation initiative, you will be responsible for facilitating and leading the development and documentation of core Service Management processes such as Configuration Management and the refinement / modification of related processes such as Asset Management, Change Management, Release & Deployment Management including guiding principles, procedures, metrics, key interfaces, roles / responsibilities and inform the design and initial population of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and enablement of related processes in the tool.

  • Facilitate the design, definition, documentation, validation and implementation of the enterprise Configuration Management process and key related processes via joint workshops and reviews leveraging best practices (e.g. ITIL, COBIT)
  • Provide input to the Service Management leadership team on project deliverables, risks, issues and escalations
  • Effectively manage relationships with program and project stakeholders, vendors, consultants and others in the effective delivery of project objectives
  • Develop tactical and strategic approaches to process design and implementation
  • Engage the necessary stakeholders to ensure that the process is understood and agreed upon
  • Required qualifications to be successful in this role :

  • 8+ years strong and proven IT Service Management process design and implementation experience
  • Expertise in Configuration Management, Change Management, Asset Management and Release & Deployment Management
  • Experienced working in multi-supplier environments
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating teams
  • Demonstrated experience influencing, negotiating, presenting and facilitating workshops
  • ITIL knowledge is a requirement
  • Professional / People Skills Required :

  • ITIL Intermediate, Expert Certification is a strong asset
