Business Analyst-Brand Pharmaceuticals
Our client is an International Brand Pharmaceutical Manufacturer that is growing in Canada and adding a Business Analyst to the Business Development team.
This role works cross functionally with senior managers and executives for key market analytics that impact the Brand teams, strategies and business development for the Canadian and International Markets.
Position Summary :
Reporting to the VP, Corporate Development and supporting analytic needs across the leadership team, this role is responsible for ensuring that effective business data analysis is proposed, documented and implemented.
Focused on delivering robust analysis and solution models for decision support; drives the performance of the organization and improves operations of the company through collection and interpretation of data required to plan, implement, launch, and measure the business activities.
In conjunction with Deal Flow team, designs and executes product search screens, conduct business and market opportunity reviews for new products including development of product forecasts
Prepares statistical models and projections (i.e. product uptake, erosion, share gains, trends), maintains documentation of assumptions driving TRx and sales forecast (i.
e. market growth, share gains, new starts, switched business, new market access and new products), presents variance report to management team
Design and prepare performance dashboard; uses secondary sales, prescription data and internal financial data to report KPI and business results
Monitor, evaluate and report performance of Companies products, market and competitive product dynamics and trends
Support sales and marketing strategic planning process for launch, in-line and pipeline products through secondary research, environmental scans and development of sales effectiveness analysis
Support government relations, pricing and reimbursement initiatives
Conducts ad hoc and recurring sales analytic projects; deploys report creation and data analysis that convey sales force performance and sales force effectiveness
Work as part of the field force effectiveness team to design, document and administer the sales incentive compensation plans
Manage data procurement, transfer and application from data providers i.e. IMSBrogan, CRM
Skill in :
Understanding how data can be organized and presented to provide actionable results; preparing clear and concise statistical / analytical reports

Demonstrated ability to learn and become proficient with a variety of software applications (e.g., SAS / Base, ProClarity, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MapPoint, SharePoint)
Minimum Qualifications :
University Degree (BSc or BComm)
3 -5 years’ experience in a similar position
Demonstrated experienced interpreting industry data (i.e IMS - IMAM, Pharmastat, RxDynamics, Compuscript, CPA, Xponent, CDH, CDTI)
Detail oriented. Highly developed analytical and problem solving skills
Expert abilities in Microsoft Excel and Access
Preferred Qualifications :
Knowledge of Global Markets
Previous experience within a pharmaceutical start up organization
Master’s degree or PhD
