Outline of Duties

In collaboration with the Technology Manager, you will be expected to work within a team responsible for the proper functioning of databases and applications under your supervision.

In your role as Database and Application Administrator, you will ensure the installation and maintenance of databases and applications.

You will work in close collaboration with system administrators and developers while providing support to the development team and the analyst teams.

In addition, you will assist the development team and the functional teams, and produce support documentation for your developments.

More specifically, you will :

  • Administer and support the database environments and their application serversfor the following software packages : Oracle EBS , Oracle BI, SOA, OTM, SSO, Oracle and SQL Server databases;
  • Support analyst and developer teams in following up on requests that require technical expertise;
  • Support applications by performing the following tasks : Install and configure applications;Apply corrective actions, as required by our instances;
  • Monitor and optimize application performance;Clone instances;Manage database functionalities, such as DB and App Configuration, Materialized Views, Partitioning, etc.;
  • Define and apply the procedures relating to component movement for the Oracle ERP application;
  • Participate in technological, applicative and functional architecture analyses;
  • Implement and use management tools for our environments;
  • Improve and maintain the current standards;
  • Develop and update the technical documentation;
  • Provide evaluations for the work to be performed and meet deadlines;
  • Analyze production issues and take corrective actions, as needed;
  • Maintain good communication with team members.
  • Requirements

  • You possess a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a College diploma with experience could be considered;
  • Good knowledge of Oracle and SQL Server databases, as well as SQL and PL / SQL languages;
  • Knowledge of and experience in Oracle EBS applications, major assets;
  • Knowledge of and experience in Oracle development tools;
  • Knowledge of and experience in source code management tools;
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suiteand SharePoint, valuable assets;
  • Bilingual in English and French, spoken and written.
