Summary

This internship will provide valuable, real-world experience by providing support to the Human Resources team. The intern will gain exposure to various HR functions and participate in projects to support HR initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Administrative and project support in all areas of the Human Resources team including : Global HR Talent Acquisition Total Rewards
  • Support various full-cycle recruitment responsibilities
  • Monitor various social media platforms
  • Draft presentations, letters, and other HR documents
  • Assist with employee engagement and charity activities
  • Assist with salary survey submission
  • Help with the preparation for new hire orientation
  • File electronic benefit documents
  • Assist with claim / benefit form submissions
  • Participate in data management projects
  • Ad hoc requests from managers and human resources team members
  • Knowledge & Skills

    Ability to work collaboratively in a team atmosphere as well as independently

    Ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently

    Ability to interface with all levels of senior management and external vendors

    Must have excellent attention to detail

    Ability to respectfully handle highly confidential information

    Ability to proactively identify and implement process improvements

    Must provide practical experience in resourcefulness

    Must demonstrate strong knowledge of business software applications (MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

    Must possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal

    Education

    Must be pursuing or just completed a four-year degree program, preferably with a Human Resource focus

    Experience

    Previous experience working in a professional office environment is an asset

    Previous experience working in a team orientated, collaborative environment is required
