Aurora is seeking a Senior Manager of Equipment Procurement. Directly reporting to the Director of Capital Procurement we are looking for someone who can support multiple global production facilities, science labs, and food production activities.
Manage capital equipment purchase requests, organizing and managing specifications development, supporting vendor selection, price, warranty, and delivery schedules, and ensure all safety protocols are met.
The person in this role should be a strong communicator who is able to work effectively with peers and senior management alike in a high-
paced global environment. We are looking for someone who is flexible and can respond quickly, energetically, and enthusiastically to changes.
Cross-functional communication skills and experience are essential. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Support and manage capital equipment and purchase requirements (spec creation)
Issue purchase orders, revisions, ensure timely delivery
Manager RFP’s, RFQ’s for all related capital equipment purchases
Provide timely updates to internal customers on purchases
Perform cost / benefit and / lease / buy analysis
Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships
Follow up with suppliers to meet committed delivery dates
Assist in auditing and oversight of manufacturing partners to ensure they comply with AURORA Equipment Management Procedures
Adhere to all company compliance and integrity initiatives.
Demonstrate collaborative problem solving across disciplines / functions.
Monitor supplier performance and establish improvement plans as required.
Perform supplier quality assessments as required by the local business
Participate in integrated business planning activities to insure effective value chain planning.
Execute strategic projects as required.
Improve net working capital by extending payment terms with key supplier as appropriate.
Support achievement of annual cost savings targets.
Ensure AURORA is legally protected in all contracting (legal reviews, terms and conditions.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant procurement and equipment experience in a manufacturing environment. Prior experience in related to food, beverage, chemical, pharma, medical device, is a plus.
Experience with forecasting, budgets, ROI
