This role will be a member of the Polyethylene Execution Excellence R&D team at the Centre for Applied Research (CAR). The team focuses on the successful execution of R&D projects that derive improved efficiency and competitiveness for NOVA Chemicals’ polyethylene manufacturing assets, as well as providing plant support to the polyethylene manufacturing asset for enhanced reliability and operation excellence.
This position requires a strong knowledge of polyolefin processes, with focus on polyethylene and gas phase polymerization processes to carry out research projects in related areas.
Typical responsibilities may include but are not limited to :
Meet research or other project goals within time and budget constraints.
The successful candidate will possess a Ph.D. or MSc. in Chemical Engineering with 8+ years of polymerization-based experience.
fluidized bed reactor; catalyst innovations; polymerization technology development / design / operations and troubleshooting (LLDPE, HDPE, LDPE, etc.).
Strong project and time management capabilities, and aptitude for problem solving / troubleshooting.
