  • Strategic development and implementation of effective Company sales and marketing programs for the assigned Sales Area.
  • Attends and participates in all sales meetings, trade shows, and company functions as required.
  • Executes on sales promotions, operational plans, policies, and goals as required.
  • Liaise with the customer service team for marketing, pricing, and delivery as required to ensure customer satisfaction with products and services.
  • Participates with Finance Lead, Sales team members to build an annual plan / forecast for volume growth objectives and determine sales plan for assigned territory.
  • Responsible for the effective performance of sales functions within assigned area.
  • Prepares and conducts business reviews with key clients as required
  • Oversees and rolls out the implementation of any new or existing products or product lines.
  • Completes required reports and related documents promptly and accurately.
  • Establishes and maintains good business relations within the customer base and vendor representatives including independent end-
  • users, key accounts, and distributors.

  • Responds to customer requests and resolves problems. Follows up on all notices for action and new account opportunities.
  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in food distribution, retail, or wholesale environment. May include but not limited to food service hospitality, food service distribution, food manufacturing, food processing, food science, Ingredients, bakery industry, non-
  • foods, paper / packaging.

  • Related Post-Secondary education preferred and / or equivalent related sales experience.
  • Good level of industry expertise and in-depth industry knowledge. Knowledge of internal functional businesses an asset.
  • Working knowledge of sales forecasting, programs, promotions, and related techniques.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding of overhead, margin and company profitability
  • Strong interpersonal and public relations skills
  • Collaborative teamwork skills
  • Creative and strategic thinker with good business acumen
  • Excellent influencing, problem-solving and negotiation abilities
  • Valid Driver's License including a favorable driving record (a Driver's Abstract may be requested as part of the recruitment process
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
