Responsibilities :

  • As part of the sales team the application specialist is responsible for developing strategies and generating technical and commercial proposals to win over competitors on projects
  • The application specialist will also handle a variety of tasks from time to time such as competitor analysis forecasting technical design and customer consultation
  • Possess the ability to work well with customers sales representatives account managers to convey the expectations into the proposals
  • Develop and prepare multiple business proposals simultaneously accurately and on time
  • Be willing to learn and apply technical knowledge on sizing medium voltage variable frequency drives and motors for various applications
  • Understand project management in order to properly assess risk and resource planning associated with bid management
  • Strive for continuous improvement to surpass the expectations of the customers and of the team
  • Flexible to travel up to 20% of the time
  • Qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years of prior technical experience in the variable speed drive system motors or industrial electrical systems
  • Excellent understanding of applications involving the use of drive systems
  • Bachelors Degree in electrical engineering or diploma in a technical discipline
  • Experience using 3D modeling software such as NX or CAD
  • Experience working with a manufacturing company
  • Ability to multi-task and work within a team environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
