    As a Lead Java API Developer, you will support the development of Java API's on ADP Human Capital Management systems that provides Payroll, Human Resources, Time Management, and Benefits Administration for ADP clients.

  • Note : Current office location is located at : 6200 Kenway Drive, Mississauga, ON L5T 2N3
  • But will move in the Spring to this location : 3250 Bloor St. W., Etobicoke, ON M8X 2X9
  • Things You'll Do :

  • Support the development of Java API's on ADP Human Capital Management systems that provides Payroll, Human Resources (HR), Time Management, and Benefits Administration applications for clients
  • Create Java APIs to enable new functionality across the ADP Eco system
  • Perform enhancements and modifications to existing APIs
  • Work with Product owners to understand the requirements for new features.
  • Work with Quality Assurance (QA) members to communicate testing impacts and fix the defects reported
  • Support the features during the early adaptor programs
  • Work on client reported defects, help triaging and finding out root cause and fix the defects with high quality
  • Experience You'll Need :

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics or related engineering field or equivalent experience.
  • Strong Agile software development experience is a requirement
  • 10+ years of Java Applications development
  • Strong experience with building Java APIs in an enterprise architecture with high complexity
  • In-depth knowledge of testing API's , including Test Automation
  • Web 2.0 development using frameworks like dojo, react, Jquery , etc is an asset
  • Experience with working with remote teams on international locations
  • Experience with software defect tracking systems such as Rally
  • Ability to multi-task, triage issues, react well to changes in a fast paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently to resolve complex issues in a timely manner.
  • Technical Experience must include :

  • Object Oriented Design & Programming using Java / JEE
  • Java Enterprise Technologies including Servlets and JSPs
  • Service layer development with Enterprise Java Beans(EJB) 3.0
  • Java Persistence Architecture and Hibernate
  • Web Sphere Application Server 8.0
  • Eclipse / Rational Application Developer tool
  • Development of Custom components, converters and validators using JSF Framework
  • Java Messaging System(JMS)
  • Swagger & Open API experience
  • IText API for PDF generation
  • Unix Bash experience is desired
  • Dependency Injection using Guice / Spring framework
  • Unit testing using Junit / Testing and Mockito / Powermock
  • Continuous integration with Maven and Jenkins (Hudson)
  • HTML5, CSS3 and SASS / LESS
  • Development of restful services
  • JSON serialization and deserialization using GSON and Jackson frameworks
  • SQL / DB2 DB development
  • Docker experience
  • Agile Software Development Methodology
